2 & 3 BHK apartments on Sarjapur–Attibele Road
How to choose between a 2 BHK and a 3 BHK, and what to look for in a layout, with The Shalott Marque as an example.
First, what BHK means
BHK stands for bedroom, hall and kitchen. A 2 BHK has two bedrooms, a hall (the living room) and a kitchen. A 3 BHK adds a third bedroom. The number tells you rooms, not size, so two 2 BHKs can feel very different. That is why the layout matters as much as the label.
When a 2 BHK is the right call
- You are a couple, or a family with one young child.
- You want a lower loan and a lighter EMI.
- You would rather spend on a better location than an extra room.
A well-planned 2 BHK, with a usable second bedroom and a balcony that catches the breeze, can be a very comfortable home for years.
When a 3 BHK earns its keep
- Your family is growing, or parents live with you or visit often.
- One of you works from home and needs a door that closes.
- You plan to stay for a long time and would rather not move again.
The extra room costs more today, but moving later costs too: a second round of stamp duty, registration and moving bills.
Reading a floor plan like a pro
- Carpet area first. It is the usable floor inside your walls, and under RERA homes are sold on it. Compare homes on this figure.
- Light and air. Look for windows on more than one side, so air can flow through.
- Wasted space. Long passages eat into rooms you could use.
- Where the wet areas are. Kitchens and bathrooms should not share a wall with a bed head.
- Furniture test. Can a bed, a wardrobe and a desk fit in each room?
Why this corridor works for both
On Sarjapur–Attibele Road, newer projects tend to be lower in density than inner-city towers. That gives 2 BHK homes more breathing room and makes a 3 BHK a more realistic step for a young family.

FAQ
2 BHK or 3 BHK: common questions
Should I buy a 2 BHK or a 3 BHK?
Think about the next ten years, not just today. A 2 BHK suits a couple or a small family. A 3 BHK gives room for a growing family, parents who visit or stay, or a proper home office.
Does The Shalott Marque have both 2 and 3 BHK homes?
Yes. The Shalott Marque has 2 and 3 BHK apartments, 54 homes in all. Ask for the brochure to see the layouts.
What is the price of a 2 BHK or 3 BHK here?
Price is on request. The Reeva team shares a written cost sheet for the exact home you are interested in, with every charge listed.
What should I look for in a floor plan?
Check where the light comes from, whether air can flow through, how much space is lost to passages, and where the kitchen and bathrooms sit. Walk through it in your head with your furniture in place.
Is a 3 BHK a better resale or rental choice?
Both sell and rent well in family areas; it depends on who lives nearby. We avoid predicting returns. Buy the home that suits your family first.
