Check it yourself
Check the records yourself, before you trust anyone’s word
Three records every first-home buyer should see with their own eyes. Each page names the official portal and shows what to match.
- Verify a RERA numberSearch the number on the K-RERA website and match what you were told.
- Check a khataFind the right local body, look up the record, match owner and area.
- Check an encumbrance certificateGet it through Kaveri online, then read Form 15 or 16 line by line.
Including ours
We would rather you check than take our word. The Shalott Marque’s K-RERA number is PRM/KA/RERA/1251/308/PR/180826/008871. Search it yourself, then read what RERA means for you.
FAQ
About checking records
Why do these pages not link to the portals?
Government web addresses change, and fake look-alike sites exist. We name each official portal so you can search for it and confirm the address ends in .gov.in yourself.
Which check should I do first?
RERA first, because it takes minutes and tells you whether the project is on the public record at all. Then ask for the khata and encumbrance certificate and have your lawyer review them.
Can these checks replace a lawyer’s title search?
No. They help you catch obvious problems early and ask better questions. A property lawyer’s full title check is still worth it.
Do I need to pay to check?
Searching a RERA registration is free. An encumbrance certificate carries a government fee shown when you apply. Khata look-ups depend on the local body’s system.
