Living on Sarjapur–Attibele Road
An honest look at the corridor: who lives here, how people get to work, and what to check before you buy.
Where the corridor is
Sarjapur–Attibele Road runs south-east from Sarjapur town towards Attibele, close to the Karnataka–Tamil Nadu border. Behind you is Sarjapur Road, one of Bengaluru’s busiest IT corridors. Ahead is Attibele and the Hosur industrial belt. The road ties the two together, which is why so many new homes are coming up along it.
Think of it as the quieter, greener end of the Sarjapur story. Plots are larger, buildings are lower, and you still see fields and old village roads between new projects.
Who it suits
- Salaried professionals working on the Sarjapur Road or Outer Ring Road side, who want more home for their budget than the city centre offers.
- Young families who value open space and a calmer street for the children.
- People working towards Hosur or Attibele, for whom this side of the city is the short trip, not the long one.
Getting to work
Most people here drive, ride or take a cab. How long it takes depends far more on the hour than on the distance, so we will not quote a number. Our honest advice: on a working day, do your real office trip from the area at your real time, once each way. That one drive will tell you more than any brochure. For the new ring road at the Attibele end, see what the STRR means for you.
Schools, hospitals and daily needs
The wider Sarjapur Road belt has a good spread of well-known schools, hospitals, supermarkets and malls. Some are close; others are a drive away. Make a short list of what your family truly needs each week — school, a clinic, groceries, a gym — and check each one from the address you are considering.
Some names you will find in the wider area:
- Tech parks: Wipro Limited, RGA Tech Park, Cessna Business Park, Prestige Tech Park
- Schools: Greenwood High, TISB, Indus International, Oakridge International
- Hospitals: Spandana Hospital, Motherhood Hospitals, Cloudnine, Sakra World Hospital
- Everyday: D Mart, Forum Mall, Central Mall Bellandur, Nexus Whitefield
What a growing corridor really means
An emerging corridor is a place where roads, shops and services are still catching up with the homes. That is often why value is better here. It also means you may live with some construction, road work and dust for a few years. Neither side of that is a secret, and you should weigh both.
Questions to ask any builder here
- Is the project registered with K-RERA, and what does the portal show?
- Where does the water come from, and how is sewage treated?
- How wide is the approach road, and who maintains it?
- What will the monthly maintenance cover?
Our first-home guide and the Reeva blog explain each of these in plain words.
