Chandapura, Bengaluru: a first-home buyer’s guide

Chandapura sits on the Hosur Road, past Electronic City and the Bommasandra industrial area, on the way to Attibele. A road from Chandapura also leads towards Anekal town.
What it feels like
It is a busy junction town with markets, schools and a mix of older homes and newer apartment blocks. The highway and the industrial belt shape the rhythm of the day.
For a first home, Chandapura suits buyers who work on the Hosur Road side and want a short daily trip. Expect more traffic and activity than a quieter residential pocket.
Daily life
- Work: Electronic City and Bommasandra are the usual workplaces. Check the trip at shift-change hours.
- Shopping: markets and stores around the junction cover most needs.
- Health: note the nearest hospital you would trust in an emergency.
- Transport: buses run along the highway; ask how you would reach the station or a metro line you plan to use.

- Check the plot is recorded in Karnataka, and in which village.
- Ask about water supply and sewage treatment in writing.
- Look at the internal road from the highway to the gate.
Karnataka or Tamil Nadu: why it matters
Chandapura is on the Karnataka side, so projects here come under K-RERA and the Karnataka Stamp Act, 1957. Further down the same highway, past Attibele, homes around Hosur are in Tamil Nadu and follow Tamil Nadu rules instead. If you are comparing both, compare them on the right state’s paperwork.
