Why a border buyer should check both states

Many people searching around Attibele also look at homes in Hosur taluk. The two sides look alike from the road, but the stamp law, the published land values and the registration office are different. Run the same value through this calculator and the Karnataka one to compare.

What the total includes

  • Stamp duty on the sale deed, on the higher of deed value and guideline value.
  • The registration fee, worked out here on the same value.
  • Not included: GST on an under-construction home, lawyer’s fees, or a loan’s charges.
